It helps the body get rid of deposits of amyloid-beta and tau proteins, which are believed to be the cause of neurodegenerative changes in patients. Alzheimer’s disease is the most common form of dementia associated with the formation in the brain of deposits of beta-amyloids and conglomerates of tau protein, which is part of neurons. This leads to the loss of neurons and synaptic connections in the cerebral cortex.
